Every day at JAK’s we feel the love from our guests; and now more than ever, we recognize the magic of a smile behind a mask. We’re so grateful for the trust of the communities we serve, especially throughout this past year, and we hope we made your Zoom happy hours a little bit happier.
Now it’s our turn to show gratitude for our communities. This Saturday, June 19th is our third annual JAK’s Gives Back Day. On this day, 10% of sales from all 12 locations and on shop.jaks.com will be donated to local food banks in the communities we serve. And there’s truly no catch. When else can you stock up on your favourite Chardonnay or local craft beer, and make a difference doing it?! During the first year of JAK’s Gives Back in 2019, $20,107 was donated to food banks around BC. In 2020, when Food Banks needed support more than ever, we were able to donate $25,137. This year JAK’s is hoping to increase that amount.
“We have been humbled by the support of our customers during the last two years of our JAK’s Gives Back campaign and as a family business, we are honoured to be able to host another year of fundraising,” said Tim Dumas, Chief Operating Officer at JAK’S. “Our team is so proud to support food banks in the communities we serve across the province, especially during their challenging summer season when donations are down significantly and during a time when food banks have seen more people access their resources.”
